Fresh off the success of Emerald City Comic Con, comic fans in New England can now look forward to a new convention in Connecticut this weekend: Indie Comics Creator Con (IC3), organized by Monkeys Fighting Robots founder Matt Sardo. Cosmic Lion Productions will be showcasing four new titles at the event, with exclusive details revealed by The Beat.
One of the highlights at IC3 will be the debut of the first-ever print edition of the popular Webtoon series “Half of the Crown” by Ro Higashi. The story follows Penny Chiu, a girl with a mysterious connection to the supernatural. As she navigates a new school and forms a bond with Issei Devlin, their relationship becomes central to an ancient conflict on the brink of eruption.
In addition, Cosmic Lion will present the latest installment of their flagship series, “GHOST Agents: Outlaw Town,” created by writer/producer Rocko Jerome, artist Ken Landgraf, and colorist Christian Meesey. The 30-page volume features a thrilling 20-page fight scene between GHOST Agents and mutant foes in a 1969 Hollywood western setting.
Another exciting title to look out for is “Deathslinger,” an 80-page adult space western crafted by writer Shane Berryhill, artist Ben Perkins, and designer Keith Finch. This action-packed comic promises a non-stop ride of cyborg assassins and alien gangs, with no room for filler or downtime.
Fans of artist Chris Anderson can also grab a copy of “Grey Matter Drip,” a collection of his prolific artwork from projects like Heavy Metal, Creepshow, and more. This portfolio book will be available at the Cosmic Lion Productions booth at IC3.
Don’t miss out on these incredible titles at the Indie Comics Creator Con on Saturday, March 9 at Southern Connecticut State University. Tickets are priced starting at $5, and the event promises to be a gathering of creative minds in the indie comics scene. After the convention, all of these Cosmic Lion titles will be accessible through the publisher’s website.
