There was an uncomfortable moment at the 96th Oscars ceremony as both Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito confronted Batman over how he had treated them.
Schwarzenegger and DeVito were presenting the award for Visual Effects at the 96th Oscars and shared some reflections on their time as Mr. Freeze and the Penguin respectively. They then realized Batman – Michael Keaton – was in the audience and decided to confront him about what he had done to them.
Of course, as fans know, Keaton was only the Batman for one of these two villains, taking on DeVito version of the Penguin in Batman Returns. Schwarzenegger went up against George Clooney in Batman & Robin, but you make do with the Batman you have at hand.
Following the skit, Schwarzenegger and DeVito presented the Oscar to Godzilla Minus One for Best Visual Effects.
