Doom: The Dark Ages transports the Doom Slayer back to the Medieval era for an adventure filled with dragon riding and skull-powered shotguns. This exciting new game is set to release next year on Xbox Game Pass.
During the Xbox Games Showcase today, id Software revealed their latest project: Doom: The Dark Ages. This thrilling game is scheduled to launch in 2025 on PC and Xbox Series X/S, with availability on Xbox Game Pass from day one. Prepare to experience a whole new level of radical with this latest installment in the Doom series.
Get ready to witness the Doom Slayer in action, riding a dragon and wielding a shotgun powered by a skull that shoots out bones. Despite the game’s backward time travel theme, id Software has managed to inject plenty of creativity into the weaponry.
In addition to the skull-powered shotgun, we also saw the Doom Slayer using a boomerang-style gun to take out a horde of enemies. The unique weapon returned to the shooter after slicing through the enemies, showcasing the innovative gameplay in Doom: The Dark Ages.
This game is id Software’s latest project following the release of two DLC chapters for Doom Eternal. While the storyline may feature a new character, fans can still expect the same stoic nature and deadly abilities that define the Doom series.
