Konami’s remake of MGS3 isn’t launching in November after all.
GameStop has clarified that the release date for Konami’s Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is not November 17 as previously claimed. The date was mistakenly shared by GameStop and was not officially announced by Konami. Fans had questioned the legitimacy of the date, and GameStop has now confirmed that it was an error.
In a recent social media post, GameStop stated that the release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was not accurate and that the official release date will be announced by Konami. Pre-orders for the game are currently available, but the actual release date remains unknown.
“Our previous pre-order post on Metal Gear Solid Delta had an incorrect release date,” GameStop explained. “More information on the game’s official release will come from Konami.”
It appears that GameStop may have mistakenly used the release date of the original Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, which was November 17, 2005, in their pre-order announcement. This led to confusion among fans, as the remake’s release date is still uncertain.
Rumors suggest that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater may not be released until 2025. Konami has not confirmed a specific release date, but the game is in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Fans can also look forward to new remakes of Silent Hill 2 from Konami in the future.
