Despite this, BioWare is sharing as much as they can leading up to the game’s launch, including a recent Q&A session on their official discord channel.
One key point addressed in the Q&A was the decision to reduce the number of party members in The Veilguard, with game director Corrine Busche explaining that this change aims to create a more immersive and intimate narrative experience. The focus on developing deep and fully realized companions is emphasized, with the intention of giving them more visibility and presence in the game.
Creative director John Epler revealed that The Veilguard is set approximately 10 years after the events of Dragon Age: Inquisition, with the storyline revolving around the aftermath of Solas’ ritual. The developers expressed their pride in the companions they have crafted for the game, highlighting the depth of their individual story arcs and the emotional impact they bring to the overall narrative.
