Despite D23’s Ultimate Fan Event coming in a little over a month, The Walt Disney Company is going to show off some big IP at San Diego Comic-Con in less than a month.
According to Deadline, Marvel Studios is heading back to Hall H to show off some of their upcoming projects and reveal their newest plans to expand the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The studio skipped out last year, but had a booth on the convention floor.
Their presence will be on the same weekend Deadpool & Wolverine hit theaters (July 26). There is no update on what Marvel is planning to show, but they made a significant impact at SDCC 2019 with announcements of Blade, the Disney+ series, and big screen crossovers, and again in 2022 when they hinted at their Phase 5 and Phase 6 plans.
My guess is Marvel will show off what is completed and/or filming including Captain America: Brave New World, Agatha All Along, Ironheart, Wonder Man, Eyes of Wakanda, and Thunderbolts*. The Fantastic Four begins shooting in December, so it is possible Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach could surprise those in attendance. Could an official tease for the next Avengers movie, which begins filming next year, happen? I think so.
