A new cameo has been filmed for James Gunn’s Superman movie which will have a special connection back to Christopher Reeve’s films.
Filming on the new Superman film is still underway in Cleveland. During the shooting of a large action set piece, a certain person was spotted filming a cameo that will serve as a direct connection back to Christopher Reeve’s films.
Cleveland.com was first to report on the current filming and they spotted Will Reeve, the youngest son of Christopher Reeve, filming a cameo for the film.
In real life, Will Reeve is a journalist and ABC news correspondent. He won’t be straying too far from what he knows as he was spotted playing a TV news journalist during the filming of the scene.
The cast of Superman is set to include David Corenswet as Superman, and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. They will all be joined by Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, and María Gabriela de Faría as the Engineer.
Superman will hit theaters on July 11, 2025.
