The new action-RPG Wuthering Waves, aiming to rival Genshin Impact, has announced that it will make story content skippable and is offering special gifts to all players.
Upon its launch, Wuthering Waves faced performance issues such as lag, frame-rate drops, crashes, and device overheating. The developer, Kuro Games, quickly responded with an “emergency patch” to address these issues. Now, they are going a step further by providing rare gifts to compensate players for the troubles.
Kuro has revealed that an upcoming update will allow players to skip “most of the story content,” with the ultimate goal of making all story content skippable. This decision is aimed at giving players more control over their gameplay and addressing feedback about lengthy cutscenes. Interestingly, Genshin Impact does not offer the option to skip cutscenes.

In addition to the gameplay changes, Kuro is giving all Wuthering Waves players 10 Radiant Tides and a free 5-star Standard Resonator voucher as a token of appreciation. This voucher allows players to start with a powerful character right from the beginning. Furthermore, Kuro will soon introduce the Companion Story for Resonator Yinlin and enhance combat for a more enjoyable experience.
With these updates, Wuthering Waves is solidifying its position as a game worth checking out, especially for fans of Genshin Impact.
