Once again, the vocal FromSoftware fans hoping for some Bloodborne-related news from PlayStation were left disappointed after the State of Play event this week didn’t mention anything about the game.
It seems that the FromSoftware community is eagerly awaiting either a PC release of Bloodborne or a remake/remaster of the game, but unfortunately, none of these were announced during the May 2024 State of Play. However, there might be a consolation prize in the form of Bloodborne Kart.
Yes, you read that right – Bloodborne Kart. Developed by the creator of the Bloodborne PS1 demake, Nightmare Kart is a PS1-style kart racer that captures the essence of the beloved game. While some of the Bloodborne elements have been altered to avoid legal issues, in the hearts of fans, it will always be Bloodborne Kart.

The game was originally set to release in January but was delayed by Sony. Now, it’s available for free to the public, offering a full campaign with boss fights, a variety of racers, karts, and tracks to choose from.
While news about a real Bloodborne remake or remaster is scarce, fans can still enjoy Nightmare Kart for now. The game is not yet on Steam, but it can be downloaded on itch.io.
