Could Chris Pratt be making the leap of the DC Universe? He’s certainly open to the idea.
Pratt has worked with James Gunn multiple times now throughout the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, so it’s natural that people are curious if Pratt may join his old friend in the world of DC. Following a recent photo of Pratt visiting the set of Superman, speculation only increased further.
Speaking with TMZ recently, Pratt said of the possibility, “there’s always a chance.” When asked who he might want to play, however, he said that decision was out of his hands. “I just have to leave that to the fans and people like James to decide. I’m not exactly sure. I’m truly not sure,” said Pratt.
When asked more broadly if he’s even open to it, he replied, “yes, of course.” He went on to add, “If it could fit into my schedule and it made sense, I would love it. Of course I love playing Star-Lord, and hopefully there’s a chance that can come back. I just feel so blessed to be able to do any of it, to be considered for any of it. If it’s right and the fans would love it, I’d be more than happy to do it.”
This si the second Guardians star in recent weeks to discuss the possibility. Pom Klementieff recently shared that she and Gunn have discussed a “specific character,” but declined to say who it was.
Gunn is currently on production of Superman which is scheduled to hit theaters on July 11, 2025.
