PlayStation Plus subscribers will have the opportunity to join the Concord Beta weekends as an added benefit of their subscription.
Firewalk Studios’ new online player versus player hero shooter Concord is nearing its Beta Early Access phase, scheduled to start on Friday, July 12th at 10am PST. Pre-ordering any version of the game will give players access to the Beta Early Access weekend, along with four extra codes to share with friends for teaming up. These codes can only be redeemed on the same platform where the pre-order was made. Additionally, PlayStation Plus subscribers are also welcome to take part in the Beta Early Access weekend, with the Open Beta starting the following week, from Thursday, July 18th at 10am PST to Sunday, July 21st.
During the Beta Early Access and Closed Beta periods, players will be able to try out all 16 of Concord’s launch Freegunners, each unlocked and ready to play and customize. The beta content includes four maps – Freewater, Star Chamber, Water Hazard, and Shock Risk; as well as three modes – Cargo Run, Clash Point, and Trophy Hunt. An additional map and game mode, the Bone Mines map and Area Control mode, will be available during the Open Beta next weekend.
Progress will carry over between the weekends but will not transfer to the official game launch on August 23rd. However, Firewalk is offering rewards for beta participants as a token of appreciation: a Frog Weapon Charm (“From Orbit to Ground,” a reference to Northstar’s drop ship, not an actual frog), a Star Flare Icon, and a Business Card.
The beta will also feature cross-play for players looking to team up with others on different platforms, as Concord will be accessible to PC players as well. The Concord Beta will also include:
4K: Compatible PC and display required.
Ultrawide 21:9: Compatible PC and display required.
Uncapped Framerate: Compatible PC and display required.
KBM and DualSense Controller Support
Custom Key Mapping
FSR 3: Compatible PC and graphics card required.
DLSS 3.7: Compatible PC and graphics card required.
