#10 Beneath The Trees Where Nobody Sees #1 – Riley Rossmo – 2023 NYCC – Storybook Foil
This book was a surprise hit upon its release. No one expected that a cutesy bear serial killer would hit the top charts, but here we are! The premiere issue was given a beautiful foil cover by Riley Rossmo, which debuted this past October at New York Comic Con. While it was mainly a sleeper hit, fans have stepped up their collecting game this week. The foil cover has had an increase in sales and shot it straight into our top ten. #9 Animal Pound #1 – Skottie Young – Reveal – Virgin (1 Per Store)
An animal uprising at the pound is intriguing enough of a story. What takes this book to the next level is that the story mainly revolves around how these animals establish their own form of democracy during their uprising. Eisner Award-winning writer Tom King and Eisner Award-nominated artist Peter Gross collaborate for the first time on this epic project. This book also hit our top lists due to legendary modern-day artist Skottie Young providing the art for this very limited one-per-store variant! Fans of Skottie young will have a hard time tracking down this puppy! We tracked 23 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 60% with a high sale of $79 for a raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $53.

Godzilla continues to reign supreme in the entertainment world, and the impact of Godzilla Minus One is still being felt in the comic community. In a cinema full of superhero movies, it is a fresh breath of radiated air to see Godzilla rule once more. We tracked 19 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 81% with a high sale of $482 for a CGC 9.8 and a current raw NM FMV of $119.
#7 Superman #9 – Nathan Szerdy (1:25)
It is rare to see the Silver Banshee take center stage on a comic cover. It is even rarer to see her in such an alluring illustration. It is all thanks to Nathan Szerdy, who showed us the Silver Banshee in an all-new light. Fans loved the retailer incentive so much that the resulting sales have sent her to our top ten list! We tracked 28 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 88% with a high sale of $50 for a raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $48.
#6 Street Fighter Masters: Kimberly #1 – Ickpot – Market Appreciation Edition
UDON launched Market Appreciation in celebration of 20 years of Street Fighter comics. A slew of comic covers were released, each from over a dozen artists. Everyone wanted a copy of the American graffiti ninja Kimberly Jackson! We tracked 18 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 149% with a high sale of $60 for a raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $48.
#5 Omega Men #3
Here we go with another Lobo speculation generating tons of heat on this book! This time, the news comes from a subtle nod to the rumor that Jason Momoa will play Lobo in Gunn’s DC universe. Peter Safran’s wife, Natalia, posted a picture with Jason Momoa, congratulating him on the release of Aquaman 2. In the comments, a fan commented, “Bring on Lobo!” to which Natalia replied, “You know it.” While you can interpret that whichever way you please, there is one certainty. This minuscule interaction was enough to get speculation hot on this book once more! We tracked 26 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 109% with a high sale of $414 for a CGC 9.8 and a current raw NM FMV of $67.
#4 Beneath The Trees Where Nobody Sees #2 – Patrick Horvath – Cover A
Samantha, the serial killing bear, has racked up a grand following after her initial issue. The series was a surprise hit, and the second issue was highly anticipated. With the first issue getting as popular as it is, fans quickly grabbed copies of the second book before it took off on the aftermarket. The series is a hit, and readers are invested in the storyline. It wouldn’t be surprising to see this series worth more than what it is currently valued down the line! We tracked 14 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 214% with a high sale of $14 for a raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $10.
#3 Wolverine #55 – Greg Land – EC Comics Homage
Deadpool 3 leaks are a common occurrence every week! The latest leak shows he merc-with-a-mouth himself holding a decapitated Sabretooth head. This image sent fans combing through the archives of Wolverine covers to find this gem: the death of Sabretooth. It’s a fantastic cover that pays homage to CRIME SUSPENSTORIES #22. The leak has propelled this book to one of the week’s top sellers. We tracked 28 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 108% with a high sale of $316 for a CGC 9.8 and a current raw NM FMV of $23.
#2 The Uncanny X-Men Vol.1 #221
As fans gear up for the return of their favorite 90s nostalgia, we also see an increase in sales for Mr. Sinister’s first appearance. It is no surprise that there is this correlation, as Mr. Sinister will debut in the series and be the main antagonist for the foreseeable future. Marvel recently published an article stating that the animated X-Men ‘97 will get a 4-issue prequel comic, set to launch in late March. This news has left the fandom confused. Initially, it was anticipated that the animated series would release in early 2024. However, given that this comic announcement is a prequel to the series, does that mean the animated series will be dropping sometime in April/May instead? Either way, the closer we get to the series, the more we will see this book appear in our top ten! We tracked 31 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 120% with a high sale of $300 for a CGC 9.8 and a current raw NM FMV of $57.
#1 Beneath The Trees Where Nobody Sees #1 – Patrick Horvath – Cover A
This book continues to remain a hit months after its debut. The premise is brilliant. A serial killer thriller set in a small, almost fairytale-like, town of anthropomorphic animals. The writing and artwork are top-notch and have drawn the eyes of collectors. This book hasn’t relied on any media leaks or key status to reach popularity. Instead, it is simply a well-written and unique comic book that continues to grow its fandom as word of mouth spreads! We tracked 61 copies sold,…
