RUNNERS UP

11 Mark Spears Monsters #1 – Mark Spears – 4th Print – Video Game Homage (1:20)
It’s incredible to see a creator consistently producing work, and the aftermarket gobbling it all up, demanding more. When collectors get a cover like this, it’s hard for them not to secure it. As we’ve said before, the Spears team excels at layering homages. Each cover offers something for a wide range of collectors, and that’s a major reason why the Mark Spears name has appeared on this list time and time again over the past few months. We tracked 6 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 38%, with a high sale of $50 for a raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $47.

12 Sister Imperator #1 – Rafael Sarmento – Regular
Sister Imperator may be relatively unknown right now, but we’re here to change that. This book delves into the origins of Sister Imperator, a well-developed character within the world created by the band Ghost. Similar to Coheed and Cambria, Ghost has a rich history of world-building, and Sister Imperator plays a key role within it. Ghost has now brought the character to comic book form, and their fanbase has been showing up in full force. We tracked 19 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 19%, with a high sale of $21 for a raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $15.

13 Daredevil Vol.2 #58 (438)
Daredevil: Born Again is still causing waves on the aftermarket. Part of this is the addition of White Tiger to the on-screen lexicon, introducing many viewers to the character for the first time. White Tiger has a storied history, but not the best track record for longevity. This book marks the introduction of Angela del Toro, who would become the fourth White Tiger. She’s featured in the newest season, and fans are looking to secure it before it potentially gains more traction. We tracked X copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 6%, with a high sale of $20 for a raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $18.

14 Batman #609 – Jim Lee – Direct
Fans were out in force last week to secure the return of the Hush saga in Batman #158. In anticipation of the event, fans have been revisiting this book, which features the first appearance of Thomas Elliot, who becomes Hush. It’s a beloved storyline for Batman fans, and this book has been a modern key for years because of it. We tracked 13 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 14%, with a high sale of $150 for a CGC 9.8 and a current raw NM FMV of $53.

15 G.I. Joe, A Real American Hero #315 – Francis Portela – Camouflage (1:10)
This 1:10 variant from Francis Portela really nails the “camouflage” aspect! It plays into the growing popularity of negative space style variants, bringing it to G.I. Joe. The franchise is still alive and well, and occasionally releases covers like this that see a nice pop on the aftermarket. We tracked 22 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 24%, with a high sale of $13 for a raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $10.

16 Fantastic Four Vol.1 #272
Nathaniel Richards is a pivotal character in the Marvel Universe. He’s the son of Sue Storm and Reed Richards, so it’s no surprise that he comes from such a notable background. His first cameo appearance is in this issue, and the spotlight on him has grown steadily in recent times. Part of that is speculation, and part is based on conjecture. This has been a relatively inexpensive key for years but is now seeing a resurgence as online speculation ramps up. We tracked 44 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 8%, with a high sale of $44 for a CGC 9.6 and a current raw NM FMV of $6.

17 Batman/Superman World’s Finest #37 – Yasmine Putri (1:25)
Yasmine Putri managed to capture the essence of Superman and Batman on a relatively simple cover. This 1:25 ratio has been hot since its release, and that’s a major reason for its success. Both characters have enormous fanbases who love adding books that epitomize who these characters are and what they represent. Putri did just that, and the aftermarket took notice. We tracked 8 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 2%, with a high sale of $60 for a CGC 9.6 and a current raw NM FMV of $49.

18 Infamous Iron Man #1
This book exploded when it was announced that RDJ would return to the MCU as Dr. Doom. It marks the first appearance of Victor Von Doom as Iron Man, and also features Tony Stark as an A.I. The connections are clear, and it’s been steadily moving since the announcement. Marvel added fuel to the fire with a long feature of chairs sporting big names, capped off by Robert Downey Jr. The excitement is palpable, and so are the aftermarket sales for this book. We tracked 8 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 51%, with a high sale of $40 for a raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $39.

19 Spawn #1 – Todd McFarlane – Direct
Spawn remains the aftermarket king, and creator Todd McFarlane has a lot to do with that. The man has his hands in so many projects, his name constantly makes headlines. Inevitably, Spawn comes up, fans recognize the name, and there’s a constant flow of copies changing hands. There’s a reason Spawn remains the champ! We tracked 28 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 28%, with a high sale of $26 for a raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $23.

20 The Omega Men #3
Fans begged for it, and so did Jason Momoa, and now it’s a reality—he’ll be Lobo! This book marks the debut of Lobo, and it’s been a topic of discussion for years, fueled by the rumors that eventually became fact with Momoa taking on the role. While he won’t get a solo feature just yet, Lobo is expected to feature heavily in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. If that comes to pass, this book could see even more fan interest. We tracked 13 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 41%, with a high sale of $96 for a VF raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $98.
