It looks as though DC Studios is getting close to choosing its Supergirl with several actors in the running.
According to a new report from Deadline, DC Studios will be conducting screen tests for Supergirl within the next several weeks with at least three potential names being in the running. The short list is said to include, but not be limited to, Milly Alcock, Emilia Jones, and Meg Donnelly.
Alcock is best known for playing Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in House of the Dragon.
Jones, starred in Apple’s Oscar Best Picture winner CODA and the Netflix series Locke & Key.
Donnelly has starred in Disney Channel’s Zombies. She may have a leg up having already voiced Supergirl in the DC animated movies Legion of Superheroes and Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part One.
James Gunn is expected to sit in on the casting process. While Supergirl will be getting her own film, she is rumored to have a cameo in Superman: Legacy.
Superman: Legacy will hit theaters on July 11, 2025.
