The Mandalorian is set to move from the small screen to movie screens next year. The news has lit a fire under Din Djarin’s first appearances, which could make this a prime opportunity to buy Grogu’s key issues.
In light of the movie news, collectors are scrambling to grab those Mandalorian keys, and practically anything with Din Djarin on the cover is experiencing an uptick in sales. That also means an increase in prices.
At this point, if you haven’t already invested in those Mando keys, you are unlikely to find any deals on the marketplace. However, there is a silver lining. With so much attention on Din Djarin, it makes for an opportunity to grab those Grogu keys.
STAR WARS TALES #13
Technically, this isn’t a Grogu key, per se, but it’s not a bad item to hold. Here you have the first time readers saw a Yoda baby (whatever species of Star Wars alien Yoda happens to be). By no means is that Gorgu, but it is a special moment that would eventually lead to the popular character’s inclusion in the SW universe.
STAR WARS INSIDER #195
Before Mando graced his first magazine cover, there was Grogu on Star Wars Insider #195. This is not a comic book, so it’s not the canonical first appearance, but those magazines are highly collectible all the same.
STAR WARS: DARTH VADER #20
As it should be, Din Djarin and Grogu graced their first comic together. This variant cover has been hot since the day it was advertised, and the movie news has only made it more of a priority. That also makes finding one for a good deal highly unlikely. Don’t forget there’s also a second print Mandalorian variant on the market, so be on the lookout for that.
THE MANDALORIAN #2
Certainly, The Mandalorian #1 is the hotter issue. After all, that marked Din’s first in-story appearance in a comic. While so many collectors will have their eyes glued to that issue, slide under the radar and nab The Mandalorian #2 with Grogu’s canonical debut.
WHY INVEST IN GROGU?
Sure, it’s Mando’s show (and movie), but it would seem Dave Filoni has bigger plans for “Baby Yoda” in future installments. I wouldn’t be too surprised if we’ll get a series set in the distant future with an adult Grogu. With that in mind, it would be wise to get your hands on those keys.
