The latest collaboration between Marvel and Disney will hit shelves this July when What If…? Goofy Became Spider-Man #1 hits comic book shelves.
Hot on the heels of a series of successful What If…? comics that saw Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Pluto reimagined as some of Earth’s mightiest heroes, it is finally Goofy’s turn to take center stage.
In What If…? Goofy Became Spider-Man, the world will learn what would have happened had Goofy been bitten by a radioactive spider. Forced to swing into action, the loveable clutz will learn that with great power comes great responsibility.

“Goofy becomes the AMAZING SPIDER-MAN in this tale that’s sure to make you say “GAWRSH!” Goofy Parker must learn the ultimate lesson of responsibility to save his beloved Uncle Ben,” the comic’s synopsis reads. “And wait’ll you see what he does to those Beagle Boys! Ah-hyuck!”

What If…? Goofy Became Spider-Man #1 was written and drawn by a team of Disney comic creators that includes writers Riccardo Secchi and Steve Behling and artist Francesco D’Ippolito.

That latest Marvel & Disney comic puts a unique spin on the groundbreaking Amazing Fantasy (1962) #15 by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. That issue saw Peter Parker gain his superpowers and first suit up as Spider-Man.
