Bloober Team, known for developing Layers of Fear and Silent Hill 2 remake, has hinted at a new project called Project M for the Nintendo Switch. This announcement has sparked speculation about its possible connection to Nintendo’s recent reveal of a horror game.
CEO Piotr Babieno mentioned in an interview with Polish newswire PAP Biznes that the first details about Project M will be unveiled later this year. The project will be released under Bloober Team’s second-party brand, Broken Mirror Games. Despite having a smaller budget compared to other Bloober Team titles, Babieno emphasized the project’s importance and uniqueness, highlighting the collaboration with top game developers for Nintendo platforms.
While the timing of these announcements may seem coincidental, it’s important to note that there is no concrete evidence linking Project M to Nintendo’s horror game. Bloober Team is also focused on the upcoming release of the Silent Hill 2 remake for PS5 and PC on October 8.
