The production banner 87North, known for John Wick, Bullet Train, Violent Night, and Nobody, presents the debut trailer for veteran stunt coordinator JoJo Eusebio’s feature film debut: Love Hurts.
Academy Award winner Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All at Once) showcases his stunt choreography skills as Marvin Gable, a successful realtor in Milwaukee with a dark secret uncovered by cryptic messages in a crimson envelope: “Love Hurts” and “Hiding ain’t Living.”
The letter is from Rose (Ariana DeBose), Marvin’s former partner seeking revenge. This leads Marvin into a world of hitmen, double-crosses, and danger, hunted by his crime lord brother Knuckles (Daniel Wu).
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ke Huy Quan shared his initial confusion about the role and how he was convinced by the producers to take on the unique character of Marvin.
