In a chilling sketch featuring Margot Robbie, Saturday Night Live flipped the script on the “sexy librarian” stereotype.
In “The Librarian” from the episode of SNL on October 1, 2016, Season 42 cast member Bobby Moynihan portrays Jeremy, a student with a crush on his school’s librarian, Miss Dalton (Robbie).
When Jeremy’s friends — portrayed by Kenan Thompson, Kyle Mooney, Mikey Day, and Alex Moffat — reveal Jeremy’s crush to Miss Dalton, she challenges him, asking, “Well, what are you going to do about it?”
In a scene reminiscent of 1980s teen movies like Ferris Bueller’s Day Off or Weird Science, Miss Dalton begins to undress in a slow-motion fantasy sequence set to Yello’s classic new wave song, “Oh Yeah.”

Initially, the boys are captivated by Miss Dalton’s striptease. However, their fantasy turns into a nightmare when she starts pulling out clumps of her hair to reveal a bald head. The situation escalates as she consumes the skin of a banana, an entire lollipop — including the stick — and removes her false teeth to expose a mouth of jagged ones underneath.

Miss Dalton’s demonic performance continues as she unveils not one, but two tattoos of actor Haley Joel Osment (one from The Sixth Sense era, and another inexplicably depicting his current appearance). She then notices another woman (Cecily Strong), who falls under her spell. The two move in for a kiss, but Miss Dalton snaps the woman’s neck.
“Straight up murder?!” exclaims Thompson’s character in slow-motion terror.
Beck Bennett, a Season 42 cast member, enters as a man with a snake draped around his shoulders, joining Miss Dalton in her dance. To conclude her nightmarish performance, the librarian crawls across the table towards Jeremy and licks his cheek with a long forked tongue.
Miss Dalton’s unsettling finale rekindles the boys’ attention as she unbuttons her blouse — watch until the end to see their explosive reaction.
