Realizing that a comic book character you still think of as new is actually 17 years old can make you feel old. The Marvel Legends Skaar figure is now available for pre-order exclusively through fan channel outlets. Hasbro released a Skaar figure many years ago, but is it worth upgrading to this modern version?
Hasbro has been releasing figures from the Dark Reign era of comics this year, including the Void Build-A-Figure and the Cabal 3-pack. Now, they’re adding to the key characters from that saga with the first 6” scale Skaar Marvel Legends figure since 2008.
Skaar received his first Marvel Legends figure shortly after debuting in the comics, but hasn’t had an official update in 16 years. The new Skaar figure is exclusive to online specialty stores and Gamestop.
This figure of Hulk’s offspring looks impressive, with a savage and imposing look. The alternate portrait with windswept hair and gritted teeth adds to the appeal. However, the lack of butterfly swivels on the shoulders and visible pins on the knees make the figure feel slightly outdated.
Despite its flaws, the rarity of toys featuring this character and the coolness factor of a barbarian-style Hulk figure make this release appealing. The lack of articulation may be a drawback, but the overall design has collecting appeal.
The 2024 Marvel Legends Skaar figure is now available for pre-order and expected to arrive in early fall. Will you be adding Hulk’s son to your collection, Marvel fans? Are there any other Hulk characters you’d like to see from Hasbro?
