A player of Manor Lords has dedicated over 50 hours to constructing a city so immense that it is pushing the boundaries of the strategy game – a remarkable accomplishment that has earned praise from the game’s creator.
Redditor Busy-Shallot showcased their remarkable achievement in the post below, revealing the largest city in Manor Lords that has been seen online. The post states, “I have achieved my goal, reaching a population of 4,548 inhabitants in one region.”
Big City 4.5k inhabitants. Completion of the project from r/ManorLords
This project, named the ‘Slavic Project’ by the Manor Lord, aimed to achieve the highest number of inhabitants in a region without food and fuel. The city successfully reached the highest population known in a Manor Lords region, although not without losses as many NPCs perished during food and fuel shortages.
However, cramming so many villagers into one save file does have its drawbacks. Instead of the usual issues of unemployment and lack of space in overpopulated areas, this city rendered the game “almost unplayable” with severely limited pathfinding.
If you intend to surpass or equal this record, the master builder recommends putting in around 92 hours of gameplay overall, with 50-70 hours dedicated to constructing the mega-city. The builder hopes that someone will surpass this record with more memory available.
This impressive feat even caught the attention of Greg Styczeń, the game’s developer. Styczeń commented, “Holy moly that’s a huge one, I’m impressed,” and assured players that optimization work will continue to allow for more villagers to be accommodated without causing lag.
For Manor Lords players, rest assured that the game did not intend to label your town as “loserville” – it’s just a reference to Tarantino.
