At long last, Peacemaker season 2 has a premiere date; Aug. 21, 2025.
James Gunn took to social media on Sunday night to share the news of when the long-awaited Peacemaker season 2 will finally debut. John Cena and company will be back on our screens on Aug. 21 with an all-new opening sequence we can only hope matches the one from season 1.
Gunn said of the announcement, “Counting the days until Peace on Earth. I just finished the DI & Mix on the Season Premiere yesterday and wow it’s one of my favorite things ever. DC Studios’ #Peacemaker Season 2 coming soon only on @streamonmaxAugust 21.”
He then shared a short action clip from the upcoming batch of episodes.
With the release date now locked, we will see Superman in theaters on July 11, 2025, and then only 41 days to wait for another installment in the new DC Universe.
The returning cast will include John Cena as Christopher Smith/Peacemaker, Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Adrian Chase/Vigilante, Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt, and Steve Agee as John Economos. New additions include Sol Rodriguez as Sasha Bordeaux, and Tim Meadows as Langston Gleury.
Peacemaker season 2 is set to debut on Aug. 21, 2025.
