This comic book review contains spoilers.
Dana Harlowe reflects on her past attempt to make the US Olympic Team. She recalls failing due to the “twisties,” an unsettling feeling that something is amiss. Today, something is definitely wrong.
Batman, Dana, and Jason Todd discuss the Kreckk attack and realize the creature and its blood have vanished from the apartment. Batman informs them that he rescued the other Watch members and that the creature tracked them using photos. He shares details of his rescue, and Dana mentions one more person at Vinyl Moment. Batman and Jason head out, with Jason advising Dana to stay put.
Batman intervenes to stop the creature, chasing it as it runs off. Jason follows on his bike. The creature heads to Leonard Kreckk’s apartment, where it disappears. Red Hood wants to enter, but Batman reveals that he relocated Leonard to the Hill. Dana, disguised as Strike, also arrives.
The focus shifts to Junior and his father playing chess and discussing the God Mode stores. Junior’s father urges him to stay off Batman’s radar, and they leave. Before departing, Lenora is instructed to watch over Junior as her father did for him.
At Priest Memorial Hospital, Dana visits the Watch members, all of whom are battered. Dana begins to feel guilty for allowing this situation to escalate. Meanwhile, Batman and Red Hood exchange information. Jason informs Bruce about Demetrius Korlee Jr., but Batman is skeptical, as Korlee runs a legitimate business supported by the Wayne Foundation. Red Hood insists there are factions in the Hill eliminating organized crime. Batman mentions that Oracle is monitoring the situation. Red Hood connects Korlee to Killer Croc, the intermediary for Leonard. Batman plans to attend the God Mode opening in Gotham and assigns Red Hood to focus on Dana.
On Kitz Row at a tattoo shop, Denise follows up on a lead and meets Omar in room nine. She discusses the night his daughter died during the Joker War. Omar admits to killing the murderers and gives Denise a message before she is chased by his men. Red Hood intervenes, rescuing Denise and fleeing. Omar seeks balance.
Dana senses something amiss again and discovers Demetrius Korlee Jr. waiting in her apartment.
Batman steps in to push the narrative forward, a somewhat contrived way to advance the story. Batman’s involvement overshadows Red Hood, making it seem like he’s not capable enough and needing a real detective. This sidelines characters like Dana Harlowe from the Watch group.
Batman takes charge of the investigation, doubting Korlee’s role and deciding to investigate personally, leaving Jason in a babysitting role. “Focus on your friend, she needs it.” Ironically, Korlee himself may provide Dana with the crucial information to resolve the situation. This issue hints at Korlee being a sympathetic character and Omar being the mastermind behind the violence in the Hill to eliminate chaos.
At least Red Hood has his moment to shine in his own book, rescuing Denise and possibly heading to Dana’s apartment with her.
The artwork remains consistent, enhancing the story’s theme with its dark and mysterious tone. The use of all-black panels with text, focusing on Dana’s gymnastic injury memory, adds to the darkness of her trauma and life experiences.

Review: Red Hood: The Hill #4
Final Thoughts
This issue continues to be beautiful and stylized. With Batman brought into the mix, it is almost like Red Hood is not good enough, we need a real detective. Not a welcome addition.
