Who is the new Sega character joining Shadow’s campaign?
When Sonic Generations was originally released in 2011, the game featured two playable characters: Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic. A remastered version of the game, Sonic x Shadow Generations, is set to release later this year, which will introduce an exclusive side story where Shadow the Hedgehog becomes a playable character. A website for the game has been launched in Japan, showcasing playable characters from the Sonic section and a section dedicated to Shadow. Interestingly, the Shadow section hints at a second playable character with a message that reads “coming soon…”
Speculation is rife about who this second character could be. Since Shadow doesn’t have a “Classic” version and was introduced in the “Modern” era, it’s unclear who this new character might be. One possibility could be Rouge the Bat, who debuted alongside Shadow in Sonic Adventure 2 and has been a prominent character in the Sonic franchise. Whether it’s Rouge or another character, fans are eagerly awaiting the announcement.
The release date for Sonic x Shadow Generations is October 25th, and Sega has already begun building anticipation for the game with new skins and an upcoming animated short. As the hype cycle gears up, more details are expected to be revealed in the coming months. Who would you like to see as the fourth playable character in Sonic x Shadow Generations?
