Which team emerged victorious in the latest Splatfest: Team Guitar, Drums, or Keyboard?

Another Splatfest has concluded, and Nintendo has revealed the winner of the recent Splatoon 3 competition. This time, the theme centered around music. At the halfway mark, Team Keyboard held the lead with 35.27% compared to Team Drum’s 32.42% and Team Guitar’s 32.31%. The final results are in! Team Drum earned 90 points for the most conch shells, while Team Keyboard earned 45 points. Team Guitar secured 70 points for the most votes, and Team Keyboard also received 35 points for votes. For clout, Team Drums earned 90 points for Tri-Color battles, while Team Guitar garnered 60 points for Open Battles and 60 points for Pro Battles. However, Team Keyboard dominated with 120 points for Open Battles, 120 points for Pro Battles, and 180 points for Tri-Color Battles, totaling 500 points. This makes Team Keyboard the overall winner!

Splatoon 3’s Next Splatfest

As of now, Nintendo has not announced the theme for the next Splatfest, so fans will have to wait for further updates. It is unclear if there will be an event in April, but Nintendo typically follows a monthly schedule. The recent Splatfest was the third of 2024, with previous events held in January and February. Fans hope for more information soon!

While more Splatfests can be expected, there are hints that content for Splatoon 3 is winding down. The introduction of Bonerattle Arena in Salmon Run marked the last new map for the mode. Although new maps and weapons may still be added to the main game, development might be shifting towards the next installment.

Rumors suggest a new Nintendo system could arrive later this year or in early 2025, raising questions about the future support for Splatoon 3. The series has become one of Nintendo’s major franchises, and a new entry could be on the horizon. Splatoon 2 followed the original Switch release closely, indicating Nintendo’s commitment to the series. With this in mind, Splatoon 4 could potentially launch next year.

Despite this, the servers for Splatoon 3 are not expected to shut down abruptly, as Splatoon 2 remains playable. However, the final Splatfest competition may be approaching in the coming months. The last two games used the final Splatfest to set the stage for the narrative in the subsequent game. For instance, Splatoon 2’s Order vs. Chaos Splatfest influenced Splatoon 3’s Splatlands location and played a role in the Side Order DLC. Therefore, the final Splatfest in Splatoon 3 could offer clues about the next game in the series.
