Off the Hook from Splatoon 2 is making a comeback with a new track featuring Deep Cut.
A Splatfest event is happening in Splatoon 3 this weekend, and players can look forward to hearing brand new music. Nintendo recently announced that the Splatoon 2 idols, Off the Hook, will be performing in Splatsville during the event. Players who have purchased the Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass will have the opportunity to see and hear the duo perform throughout the weekend, with an updated version of their song “Color Pulse.” However, all players can enjoy a completely new track during the competition, regardless of DLC ownership.
The new track, titled “Suffer No Fools,” features Pearl and Marina from Off the Hook, along with Shiver and Frye from Deep Cut. The collaboration showcases the jealous side of Shiver and Frye, who are upset about Off the Hook’s concert in Splatsville. The song revolves around a backstage argument between the four idols, with Big Man notably absent from the conflict. The track can be heard in the embedded Tweet below.

This Weekend’s Splatfest
This Splatfest will have a music theme, with players choosing between Drums, Guitar, or Keyboard. Team selection is open now, but the event officially starts on March 22nd at 5 p.m. PT and runs until March 24th at 5 p.m. PT. Results will be announced on the same night.
Each member of Deep Cut will represent a different team: Shiver is on Team Drums, Frye is on Team Guitar, and Big Man is on Team Keyboard. Players often choose their team based on their favorite idol’s pick rather than personal preference, which can impact the overall results. Will Shiver’s passionate following lead to a victory this month? Only time will tell!
How do Splatfests Work?
Splatfests have been a staple of the Splatoon franchise since the beginning. In Splatoon 3, teams compete in various categories, with performance in Open Battles, Pro Battles, and Tri-Color Battles determining the winners.
