Production on James Gunn’s Superman movie has moved to LaGrange, Georgia for several weeks to film Smallville scenes.
According to The LaGrange Daily News Gunn’s film crews began moving in on May 28 and are scheduled to be in town until June 14. The film filed permits with Troup County under the film’s code name of “Genesis.”
Currently, film crews are working mainly around a home in the 600 block of Stovall Road which is presumed to be the Kent family farm. Production equipment is also being stored at the former Whitesville Road Middle School.
The majority of filming has been happening in Atlanta, Georgia, with some earlier filming having taken place in Norway.
The cast is set to include David Corenswet as Superman, and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. They will all be joined by Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, and María Gabriela de Faría as the Engineer.
Superman will hit theaters on July 11, 2025.
