We’re sad to report that veteran British actor Tom Wilkinson has passed away.
With a career spanning five decades in both television and film, Wilkinson garnered great acclaim in films such as The Full Monty, In the Bedroom, Michael Clayton, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, as well as television projects like John Adams, The Kennedys, David Copperfield, and Watership Down. His performances earned him numerous awards, including Golden Globe, Primetime Emmy, BAFTA, and SAG wins, along with two Academy Award nominations.
No stranger to genre films, Wilkinson was notable to Batman fans for his work as mobster Carmine Falcone in Batman Begins. Though the role was relatively small, he stood out in a stacked cast thanks to his line delivery and prominence in some of the film’s most important scenes.
He was 75.
