Hello everyone!
This is update 2 of our comic book club community!
In the last video I did a quick introduction of myself and asked for you guys to post server suggestions that that was extremely helpful!!
Thank you so much for your help and wanted to tell you what changes my brother and I made along with some other next steps
If you look at the top of our discord community you will see that there is the community chat and the community art feed
The community chat is where we can have our ongoing conversations and schedule live streams and other events as well as have discussions with our ongoing projects and things we are learning together. This channel need to be just conversations and you can post images , vids or links if it’s relevant to the current conversation, but don’t spam the chat.
In regards to everyone’s art we will be posting that in the community art feed.
This feed can be anything related to your art and what you are working on.
If you scroll down you will see our new education corner and our new channel called “art basics”
Because there was so many people that requested I start with basic fundamentals this channel will be specific to the basic art fundamentals and learning them together.
I spent several days preparing some free FILES and exercises and I’m going to include my main digital brush set that I use for all of my pieces. With these files I am also going to be uploading monthly with new free tutorials and behind the scenes vids on my new comic that I am actively working on. Think of this like my personal diarie that you have access to. This will all be 100% FREE for everyone
Now on to the hard stuff, there was a few people that asked for some pretty in-depth tutorials that I think may take me several days if not a few weeks to prepare everything.
One example was “getting started with digital art” this is pretty complex question and learning digital art took me around 2 – 3 years to learn.
So condensing that into a tutorial does take time.
These types of tutorials I will post in the “advanced tutorials” channel.
Since these would take me several days or weeks to prepare I’m going to give them to all my patreon members or attach them to my gumroad for a small fee to cover the time that it takes me to make them.
However if you want these advanced tutorials for free all you have to do is help me keep the discord active and help others.
I’m going to create a community point system that gives you these advanced tutorials for free.
As a reward for being a positive and helpful member of our new community
So If you help someone in the art basics channel or help answer someone’s question in the “art questions channel” this will give you points that you can then exchange for the advanced tutorials or… even a free art piece from my website.
My main goal is to create a positive community and I feel like incentives like this may help everyone to stay positive and supportive for each other.
But I want to know what your thoughts are and if you want to make any other changes before we move forward with all of these ideas.
I’m going to get back to work, but I will talk to you all very soon.
