‘The Rise of Kang: A New Avengers Saga’

It seems that the predictions about Avengers: The Kang Dynasty are coming true.

Following the Jonathan Majors controversy, Marvel Studios is shifting away from his character. Earlier this year, the actor was removed from all future MCU appearances, including Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel is now revising the script to either reduce or eliminate the character from their universe.

Moreover, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will be renamed to exclude the character’s name. The studio had already been planning to phase out the character after the lukewarm reception of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania last year.

Michael Waldron (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) is set to write the project. The original director, Destin Daniel Cretton, left in November to focus on Wonder Man and the upcoming Shang–Chi sequel, which are currently in production.
