Ever since this project was announced, finding out who will play our original Marvel family has been a top priority in the social sphere. Throughout the last couple of years, numerous actors and actresses have been rumored for Fantastic Four, but we haven’t gotten a solid confirmation. Until now.

Deadline broke the news back in November of 2023 and while a big trade confirmed it to be true (and it was), nothing beats the actual director confirming it.
Director Matt Shakman took to Instagram to confirm Pedro Pascal is indeed playing Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in the upcoming film.

As for the other three, there is still no confirmation. However, Vanessa Kirby (Napoleon) is still heavily rumored for Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things) is still heavily rumored for Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Bear) is still heavily rumored for Ben Grimm.

Filming is expected to start later this year.
Fantastic Four has been written by Avatar scribe Josh Friedman. Matt Shakman (WandaVision) is set to direct. Moon Knight producers Grant Curtis and Nick Pepin are also on board.
Fantastic Four hit theaters on February 14, 2025.
