About the Book:
As a member of America’s Elite, John Murphy is one of the best. When he is sent to a nuclear facility to take a bad guy that seems to have abilities no one understands. Getting wonderful news from his spouse, he leaves on this mission, only to have the mission go so far south John Murphy and his team are not sure they will come out of this alive. Only to have the bad guy known as Iodoc rewrite the world as it is presently known.
Reviewer’s Notes:
In this issue of Unnatural Order, we get the backstory for the US Soldier whom it is rumored the Druid actually fears. Knowing the past is just as important as preparing for the future. A well trained soldier who is given time to prepare can be a very lethal weapon.
That said, as John meets the rest of the ragtag people who are out to kill the Druid, we find out more of what has happened since the initial meeting with Iodoc and John Murphy. As John deals with a world where magic is present he gathers the ragtag group to set the world right as well as take out Iodoc for good.
This story continues to improve from the last issue, offering more of the backstory about the soldier that the ragtag group was looking for in the first place. I enjoyed reading it, and felt for John Murphy and understood why he is out for Iodoc.
With the story deepening in this issue I think that it can only get better and it makes me wonder what the climatic end will look like. Will the world be reset back to what it was? Will this world be the new norm? Will the surprise that was part of the backstory be restored when the story is finished? Only time will tell and I am here for it!
The pace of this story continues to hold the interest of the reader. Overall the story is very well done and continues to have me ready for the next issue!
The cover art is impressive, all though a little washed out. But given it shows the main baddy Iodoc dealing with something that is a central key to the story I understand the purpose behind it. Having the cover reflect a part of the story is a smart choice to continue to bring the reader in.
The interior artwork continues to impress, showing just what it needs to and how it needs to do it, to drive the story. The clean lines with vivid colors show just what the characters are up against both before and after Iodoc proceeds with his plans. The colors on the page match the pace of the story and before you know it, your looking for the next book.
