Just one day after it was rumored that Taylor Swift had formally met with Kevin Feige about a role in the MCU, more info has emerged about who she could play.
According to industry insider Daniel RPK, one of the characters she has met with Feige about is The Blonde Phantom. Additionally, RPK claims that a series about the character is already in development.
The only info he provides is that it’s described internally as “a spy show set in Vegas in the 50s.”
Now, if the name Blonde Phanton sounds familiar, it’s because it’s someone who Scarlett Johansson nearly played. In fact, she’s previously mentioned how when she was in talks to join the MCU it was one of many female characters she was considered for.
For those who aren’t familiar with the character, she is a secretary at the Mark Mason Detective Agency. She has a secret though. Whenever he is on a case, Louise leaves the desk, takes off her glasses, and lets her hair down, becoming the glamorous masked hero. Occasionally, she even has to save her boss’ skin.
In the past she’s been associated with both the Avengers and She-Hulk.
Now, Swift wouldn’t be the first icon to join the MCU. After the Eternals, we know Harry Styles’ Starfox is out there somewhere. Meghan Thee Stallion is somewhere on Earth probably grabbing drinks with Tatiana Maslany’s She-Hulk too. Sadly, we’ll just have to find out.
You might recall that we first reported Swift could appear as Dazzler in Deadpool & Wolverine last year. And just because she appears as the mutant doesn’t mean she couldn’t play another character. After all, it wouldn’t be the first time someone played more than one role in the MCU. Just ask Benedict Cumberbatch or Gemma Chan.
Are you excited to see Taylor Swift join the MCU? Sound off below!
