As fans eagerly await for Beyond The Spider-Verse, Sony is looking at new ways to please Marvel fans.
There have been rumors circulating recently that the studio is currently in the process of developing a live-action adaptation of Miles Morales. According to industry insider Jeff Sneider, who revealed this information on The Hot Mic podcast, the studio is actively searching for an actor to portray a live-action version of Miles Morales.
As of now, it is unknown what project they are casting for and if the character will appear along Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in the MCU or Sony’s pretty disappointing live-action Spider-Verse, which includes Venom, Morbius, Madame Web, and Kraven The Hunter. However, last year, Sony executives Amy Pascal and Avi Arad revealed that fans won’t have to wait too much longer for live-action iterations of some of the characters feature in the film.
More specifically Pascal confirmed that a live-action Miles Morales movie is already in the works.
The character will next be seen in 2025 in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. The film is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson and written by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, who both also produce, and David Callaham. Shameik Moore voices Miles, starring alongside Hailee Steinfeld, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Vélez, Jake Johnson, Jason Schwartzman, Issa Rae, Karan Soni, Shea Whigham, Greta Lee, Daniel Kaluuya, Mahershala Ali, and Oscar Isaac.
