Sony and Marvel’s third installment of the Venom franchise now has a new title and in Sony fashion, it’s a goofy one.
The studio has dated Venom: The Last Dance for an October 25 release, up to weeks from its original date of November 8. The will have Imax and premium format support and will go head to head to head at the box office against Universal/Blumhouse’s remake of The Wolf Man starring Christopher Abbott and the gory indie slasher Terrifier 3.
The film is being written, co-produced, and directed by Kelly Marcel (in her directorial debut) from a story she wrote with Tom Hardy, who reprises his roles as Eddie Brock and Venom and also serves as a producer. The film also stars Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor in undisclosed roles.
