The cast of Superman has grown again as Wendell Pierce has signed up to play Daily Planet editor-in-chief, Perry White.
The news was first revealed by The Hollywood Reporter last week, but James Gunn didn’t confirm the information until Tuesday evening.
Pierce has had a lengthy career, but is probably best known for his turn as Det. William ‘Bunk’ Moreland on the HBO series The Wire.
The cast is set to include David Corenswet as Superman, and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. They will all be joined by Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, and María Gabriela de Faría as the Engineer.
Superman will hit theaters on July 11, 2025.
