Peacock’s horror series Teacup is nearing the end of its first season, and after much mystery, we finally have some solid answers — but what is really going on?
The fifth and sixth episodes of Teacup are now available on Peacock, with a crucial flashback providing more insight into the story and new twists that add depth to the series. Starring Yvonne Strahovski and Scott Speedman, the show follows a family and neighbors trapped inside a mysterious blue line that proves deadly to anyone attempting to cross it.
So what’s really happening on Teacup?
We discover through a flashback focusing on McNab (Rob Morgan) and Travis (Jackson Kelly) that McNab has encountered similar traps in the past, involving his daughter. He has since dedicated himself to understanding these traps triggered by alien hunters. McNab befriends Travis, shares alien secrets, and together they attempt to prevent the trap from activating. However, their efforts are in vain, leading to James (Scott Speedman) finding a wounded Travis.
An alien creature, resembling the Thing, is targeting the “Harbinger” alien entity within young Arlo (Caleb Dolden). The intentions of Harbinger remain unclear. Flashbacks and research reveal a group of amateur investigators collaborating online to study these phenomena, with the aliens working towards a mysterious agenda.
McNab can sense the trap’s perimeter due to a past encounter, marking the line to prevent others from crossing and falling victim to its deadly consequences. The trap appears to be a tool used by the hunter alien to capture Harbinger.
When is the Teacup finale?
