Xbox Game Pass has just added a new horror game in 2024 that will excite fans of the genre.
Horror fans on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC now have another reason to celebrate as Xbox Game Pass has expanded its offerings. The subscription service already provides a good selection of horror games, including titles like Resident Evil 2, Amnesia: The Bunker, Dead Space series, Prey, Scorn, Soma, The Evil Within, The Evil Within 2, and The Walking Dead series. This latest addition of Resident Evil 3 further enhances the horror gaming experience for subscribers.
While Resident Evil 3 may not be as popular as some other games in the series, the 2020 remake has received positive reviews. The Xbox version of the game has achieved a score of 84 on Metacritic, making it a solid choice for horror game enthusiasts.
The game’s official description on the Microsoft Store sets the stage for players: “Jill Valentine must navigate through the zombie-infested streets of Raccoon City and face off against Umbrella’s ultimate secret weapon, Nemesis.” With stunning visuals and challenging gameplay, the remake offers a fresh take on the classic 1999 game.
It’s unclear how long Resident Evil 3 will be available on Xbox Game Pass, as it is a limited-time addition. Subscribers can purchase the game at a 20% discount while it’s available on the service. The game offers around seven hours of gameplay for a standard playthrough, but completionists can expect to spend roughly 20 hours exploring all the game has to offer.
