During D23 2022, Skydance New Media revealed a new collaboration with Marvel Games for a project set in 1943 featuring Captain America and Black Panther, with T’Challa’s grandfather Azzuri taking center stage. Amy Hennig, known for her work on the Uncharted franchise, is leading the project. The game, now officially titled Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, is expected to be released in 2025. The recently released story trailer showcased impressive visuals, although gameplay footage was not included. The game’s style remains a mystery, but the footage of Captain America using his shield evoked nostalgia for fans of Captain America: Super Soldier.
Khary Peyton will portray Azzuri, while Drew Moerlein will voice Captain America. The soundtrack will be composed by Stephen Barton, known for his work on the Titanfall franchise and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor with Respawn Entertainment. More details about the cast can be found in the linked article below.
