Stardew Valley Update 1.6 has brought some surprises for PC players.
The release of Stardew Valley Update 1.6 happened this week, specifically for PC players. This latest update introduced a plethora of new content and enhancements. While not the largest update in the game’s eight-year history, Update 1.6 is definitely significant and may potentially be the final major update, as hinted by developer ConcernedApe in the past. As a result, it’s no surprise that there are new secrets waiting to be discovered.
Recently, a YouTube user highlighted a change in Update 1.6 related to the out-of-bounds glitch that allowed players to reach The Summit earlier than intended. Now, if players attempt this glitch, they will encounter Mister Qi, who confronts and penalizes them for cheating.
One Stardew Valley fan shared their reaction to this discovery, stating, “The couple of frames where you see Mr. Qi moving towards you is actually terrifying. I always thought he was a character who was nice and trying to help you, but now knowing he can do that is really creepy.”
ConcernedApe has not publicly addressed this new scene, leaving its purpose open to interpretation. However, it appears to be a playful way to address the exploit rather than simply patching it out. Players have expressed appreciation for this unique addition, with one fan stating, “I LOVE that instead of patching out the summit skip, he added this in. ConcernedApe is the best.”
Currently, Stardew Valley Update 1.6 is only accessible on PC, with no announcement regarding its availability on other platforms. For more coverage on Stardew Valley, including the latest news, rumors, and speculation, click here.
